Our client has core intellectual property allowing it to develop electronics that work at extremes of temperature, pressure and vibration. Scotland Electronics a well established business with an international blue chip customer base within the oil and gas and defence and aerospace sectors. It has a portfolio of long term programmes supplying electronics used to control equipment in the oil industry operating at 200 degrees centigrade. The company is providing the enabling technology to its customers to develop the next generation of tools used in the exploration, drilling, Plugging, Jarring, Casing Repair, Tractors and production of oil.
In the aerospace and defence sector its technology is already deployed in critical systems that will reduce the risk and cost on current operations. These programmes will generate several £m’s in profitable sales for the company over the next few years. And the company is receiving a significant number of international requests for its technology and skills on other Naval, Land & Airborne programmes.
The company has its own research and development, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing and testing capabilities, within new purpose built facilities. The management team has previous experience of developing similar businesses and operating within large multinational engineering groups.
