Software Manager

Position Software Manager
 Job Scope:
Management of the Software Team.
Other specific programme management and change/process management projects.
Assist with support of internal IT systems.
Engineering design and development.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities:
Planning of software aspects of Quotes, Projects. Achieve compliance to AS9100, DO 178, internal SEIL QOP and other relevant software quality standards.
Ensure projects are planned, executed and reported in a structured and timely manner.
Liaising with and organising IT management and support.
Supporting specific projects as agreed with the management team.
More specific responsibilities included in the above:
Work with the engineering team to assist with the design of Motion Control Systems and Sub Systems for Defence (Airborne, Land, Naval, Subsea), Space, Down-hole Oil and Gas.
Applying the disciplines of:
a. Software Engineering, microprocessor (DSP, CPLD, FPGA, VHDL) servo loop configuration, motor control DSP algorithms. Capable of working in both C and Assembler.
b. Assist the engineering team with optimisation of motor performance using simulation, Spice, MathCAD and other tools.
c. Working knowledge of Databases and SQL development
System Architecture design and development, software development.
Engineering tests of products and sub contact work design.
Design for manufacture of test solutions & systems deployed in harsh environments.
Participate in programmes & projects and dealing directly with clients when required to support Business Development & Sales.
Participate in Engineering and Manufacuring reviews, First Article Inspections, FCA & PCA Audits, customer compliance meetings and presentation of system and software solutions.
Provide advice and proposals on new products and research and development, new controls and company engineering procedures, to ensure SEIL’s success.
